Sha Bespoke have recently been appointed by a lovely couple in Dulwich, London Borough of Southwark, to undertake a comprehensive renovation of their Victorian terraced house, which they intend to be their forever home. The property is located within a Conservation Area, adding a layer of complexity and sensitivity to the design and execution.

The existing three-storey terraced house features both front and rear gardens. Interestingly, while the street frontage maintains a consistent architectural style, the rear elevations of the properties in the area show considerable variation, with many featuring substantial side infill and roof extensions. Our proposed works for this project include a side infill extension and a loft conversion. Following a successful concept design phase, our clients have enthusiastically approved a layout that prioritises a large, open-plan kitchen and dining area, along with the creation of a new utility room and a dedicated home office space, perfectly catering to the increasing need for remote working capabilities. The loft conversion will provide a much-needed additional bedroom complete with an en-suite bathroom, which will be a wonderful addition for their growing family.

We are pleased to share that, having successfully obtained planning permission, construction has commenced on this Dulwich family home. We are working diligently to ensure the project progresses smoothly and are currently aiming for a completion date in December 2024. We are very enthusiastic about transforming this property into the client’s dream home and look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.
