Currently at strip-out and first-fix stage, the Herne Hill project focuses on the internal reconfiguration and extension of a traditional terraced residential property. The design restructures the existing layout to improve spatial flow and maximise usable floor area, responding directly to the constraints and opportunities of the narrow terrace typology.
At ground level, a new rear extension provides a more generous kitchen and dining space, strengthening the connection between the interior and the garden. The intervention clarifies circulation, enhances natural light, and creates a more coherent sequence of family living spaces.
The project also includes a loft conversion designed to accommodate a new master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, adding valuable privacy and functional capacity to the home. Together, these interventions deliver a more flexible and efficient layout while retaining the character of the original property. As works progress through first fix, key spatial volumes are now taking shape, marking a significant step toward realising the design intent.
