Construction has officially commenced this month at our latest project in Barnes, where Sha Bespoke has been appointed to transform a charming terraced Victorian house located within the Mortlake Conservation Area. The property has recently been acquired by a young couple eager to expand their living space to accommodate their growing family, and we are thrilled to help bring their vision to life.
Our proposal includes a thoughtfully designed rear extension to significantly enlarge the kitchen and dining area, creating a bright and functional hub for family life. This extension will also incorporate a new utility room and a conveniently located cloakroom, enhancing both practicality and comfort on the ground floor.
On the upper level, the existing loft space was underutilised and in need of modernisation. The original dormer was modest in scale and did not maximise the potential of the space. Our new dormer design introduces a Juliet balcony overlooking Barnes’ leafy suburban surroundings, along with a spacious new bedroom complete with an en-suite bathroom.
To date, Sha Bespoke has provided a full suite of architectural services, including concept layout development, planning drawings, and submission to the local authority. We are pleased to confirm that planning permission has been successfully granted, and the project is now moving forward with construction.
