Planning Permission Approved for Richmond Home in Conservation Area

Sha Bespoke are delighted to announce that we have successfully obtained planning permission for a family house renovation project in the Sheen Road Conservation Area of Richmond. This achievement follows a period of close collaboration with our planning consultant and the local planning authority. Our shared goal was to design a contemporary addition encompassing the ground and first floors, while meticulously preserving and enhancing the original character of the existing house.

The approved proposals include internal modifications on the ground floor to create a new utility room, cloakroom, kitchen, and dining area. Furthermore, we have designed a striking new rear extension that will significantly improve the aesthetic appeal of the property. Currently, contractors are on site, carefully commencing the demolition phase of the project.

This initial stage involves selectively exposing the existing structure of the semi-detached house. Gaining this understanding of the underlying construction is a crucial first step, allowing us to refine our plans and ensure the effective protection of the building’s original features throughout the construction process.
