We’ve recently submitted planning for an exciting single-storey rear extension project in the leafy suburb of Sanderstead, London Borough of Croydon. The design centres on enlarging the existing kitchen to create a light-filled, open-plan space with a seamless connection to the garden. This transformation will not only enhance day-to-day functionality but also improve the visual and spatial relationship between the home and its outdoor setting.
The proposed extension features generous glazing to maximise natural light and frame garden views throughout the year. By extending to the rear, the new layout allows for a more flexible and sociable kitchen and dining area—perfect for family life and entertaining.
