Sha Bespoke is delighted to announce our appointment on an exciting new project located in the heart of Inverness Terrace, Westminster—an elegant and highly sought-after area just moments from Hyde Park.
The project involves the reconfiguration of a charming two-bedroom apartment within a Grade II listed building. Our design team will be developing a series of concept layouts, that reimagines the internal layout to enhance flow, light, and functionality. A key element of the brief is the transformation of the existing space into an open-plan kitchen and dining area, creating a more sociable and connected living environment. A series of elegant pocket doors will be strategically integrated to allow flexibility between open-plan and private spaces, ensuring the apartment retains both its character and practicality.
Given the property’s listed status and leasehold tenure, Sha Bespoke will also be managing the necessary permissions to facilitate the works. This includes preparing and submitting a Licence to Alter application to the freeholder, as well as securing Listed Building Consent from the Local Planning Authority.
Inverness Terrace is renowned for its majestic Victorian architecture, with grand terraced houses featuring ornate façades, decorative cornices, pilasters, and wrought iron railings. The distinctive column-supported balconies on the first floor add to the street’s stately charm, making this one of Westminster’s most desirable residential enclaves.
