Side Infill Extension in Barnes with Up-and-Over Glazing
The choice of materials has been informed by the existing context and engages with the character of the Victorian terrace. Internally, materials have been given a bright tone to enhance the diffusion of natural light. The use of glazing and light wells increases the amount of natural light flooding into the property. The use of up-and-over glass’ transformed this dark and gloomy property into a house which is full of light and spatial qualities. The ever-changing landscape created by the seasons can be enjoyed within the protective and comforting embrace of glass.
